The International Mariners Management Association of Japan (IMMAJ) through the IMMAJ-PJMCC Foundation, Inc. hosted a luncheon in honor of their scholars and their families.  After their graduation ceremony on December 2, 2016, the 2nd batch of graduating cadets of the Valkereans Class  of the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP) Class 2016 proceeded to the Mess Hall of the Capt. Gregorio S. Oca building, MAAP Campus, Mariveles, Bataan

IMMAJ-PJMCC Consultant, CE Wenifredo Sola began the program by welcoming the graduates and their families, and introducing the IMMAJ dignitaries, guests and sponsors.   In his speech, he first congratulated the parents for the accomplishments of their children.  Secondly he requested the graduates to hug and say thanks to their parents for their unconditional support in the course of their studies.

Philippine-Japan Manning Consultative Council (PJMCC) Board of Director Ms. Carmen B. Rebusi gave her inspirational message to the graduates.  She reminded the graduates to excel in their future endeavor as they begin a life at sea.  She told the graduates to give their best when working to give honor to their job, family and country.

IMMAJ Chairman, Capt. Masami Sasaki then took his turn at the podium to congratulate the parents and address the graduates.  He reminded them that their graduation is merely a beginning of a career in the maritime industry.  He likewise shared the mutually beneficial Philippine-Japan relations.  He concluded his message with a wish of good luck for the future ahead; and hoped for a long partnership working with the Japanese fleet.

Ms. Rebusi and Capt Sasaki then paid recognition to scholars who graduated with honors.  They and their families were called up in front to be given gifts in appreciation of the academic excellence.  After the program, the graduates then proceeded to meet their sponsors and principals for a briefing.
