The NETI is the training arm of NYK-Fil Ship Management, Inc. An ISO 9001:2008 certified company, it is engaged in maritime training using state-of-the-art equipment for marine officers and ratings (non-officers) and develops customized training courses designed to meet the specific requirements of Principals. 

Training is conducted by active merchant marine officers who are tapped to join the NETI faculty to share new shipboard knowledge and practices to trainees and cadets not only on technical competence but safety and environmental protection.

NETI is accredited by various local and international maritime bodies and directorates as well as the Flag States of Panama and Vanuatu. It is duly recognized by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) for the practical assessment of Deck and Engine Officers using a Full mission Bridge Simulator and an Engine Room Simulator. It also houses a Diesel Plant Simulator under the auspices of the IMMAJ/PJMCC. 

NETI adheres to the highest standards in the conduct of its mission in providing excellent maritime training to Filipino seafarers, thereby doing its share in advancing the reputation of the Philippines as the manning capital of the world.
