PJMCC Recognizes High Performing Maritime Schools

The Philippine-Japan Manning Consultative Council (PJMCC) recognized the achievements of maritime schools in the country with an Awarding Ceremony under the Maritime School Assessment Program (MSAP) High Performing Schools. The Awarding Ceremony was held last September 26, 2012, Wednesday at the Assembly Hall, 7th Floor, JSU-AMOSUP Mariners' Home Annex, 1970-1980 Hidalgo Lim St, Malate, Manila. A total of eighteen (18) maritime institutions from different parts of the Philippines was honored for their outstanding performance in the MSAP examinations from 2007-2012.

The awardees are divided into two (2) categories, and were selected using the following criteria:

Category A: Maritime Schools with 75% Participation and Passing Rates, and Mean Average Score for at least two (2) consecutive years of MSAP Participation. Awardees received a Plaque of Achievement per program and one (1) unit of desktop computer for ever two (2) consecutive years of achievement.

Category B: Maritime Schools with Top 10 student-placers in the MSAP 2007 to 2012. Awardees received a Plaque of Achievement per program and one (1) unit of desktop computer for every year with student top-notchers.
