PJMCC RECEIVES COMMENDATION FROM JAPANESE AMBASSADOR

The Philippine-Japan Manning Consultative Council, Inc. (PJMCC) received a special commendation from the Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines, HE Toshinao Urabe, last 04 February 2014 in Makati City.

The commendation was given in recognition of PJMCC's support to the Japanese maritime transportation and economy and its distinguished service in contributing to the deepening of mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and the Philippines.

PJMCC is an association comprised of sixty eight (68) manning agents with ships owned and controlled by Japanese companies. The association is actively involved with the maritime and seafaring industry both in the Philippines and in Japan, and is committed to improving skills and competencies of Filipino seafarers serving the Japanese merchant marine fleet.

The awarding ceremony was attended by PJMCC Officers Mr. Eduardo U. Manese (President), Capt. Teodoro B. Quijano (Vice President), Ms. Josephine J. Francisco (Treasurer), and Trustees Mr. Ericson M. Marquez, Ms. Carmen B. Rebusi and Capt. Salvatierra, Jr.
