DOLE, POEA recognize IMMAJ, PJMCC and JSA as maritime social partners in appreciation ceremony

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) through the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) recognized the International Mariners Management Association of Japan (IMMAJ), Philippine-Japan Manning Consultative Council Inc. (PJMCC) and Japanese Shipowners’ Association (JSA) as their maritime social partners in a ceremony last June 22, 2016 at the Manila Hotel, One Rizal Park, Manila.

IMMAJ Chairman Capt. Masami Sasaki, PJMCC President Eduardo U. Manese and JSA Managing Director Hitoshi Hosaka received the awards for their respective organizations that were presented by Ms. Rosalinda Dimapilis – Baldoz, Secretary and Chairperson of the POEA governing board.  These organizations were awarded for their invaluable contributions as maritime social partners promoting overseas employment and protecting seafarers’ welfare.

The event was attended by various manning agencies, shipowners’ associations, seafarers’ unions and notable entities of the maritime industry from both the government and private sectors.
