PJMCC attends meeting between the JSA and President Marcos, Jr.

Considered as the lead association representing the interest of manning agents and the Filipino seafarers working with the Japanese maritime industry, PJMCC helped organize and attended the meeting between the Japanese Shipowners’ Association (JSA) and President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. last 09 February 2023 in Tokyo, Japan.

During the meeting, JSA President Junichiro Ikeda emphasized the strong connection and friendly relationship between the Japanese shipping industry and the Philippines. He also expressed that Japan ship owners would like to continue cooperating for employment and training of Filipino seafarers. Meanwhile, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. promised to continue to work closely with the Japanese ship owners to meet its workforce requirements.

PJMCC was represented by its President Capt. Emmanuel L. Regio, Vice President Mr. Marlon R. Rono, and member Capt. Ronald SJ Enrile.
