PJMCC Signs Contract for Adopt-a-School Project

To fulfill the goal in honing the skills and abilities of potential seafarers, PJMCC signed a contract last April 5, 2011, for the Adopt-a-School project at the Bistro Marinero in Intramuros.

Representatives from selected schools came all the way from the province of Quezon and Bataan to embody their school in this generous offer from PJMCC. These schools are Lamao National High School and Alabat Island National High School, by which prospective students are aiming to take the path to the maritime industry. Valuable learning devices such as desktop computers and calculators are openhandedly donated by PJMCC headed by Mr. Eduardo Manese together with the PJMCC board of directors. School Principals and Teachers reviewed the contents and scope of the contract and appreciatively signed it. “This is a practical tool in encouraging young people to choose maritime courses. The industry has a lot to offer. Subjects such as Mathematics, Science, and Trigonometry should be given extra effort on. Maritime courses will have a lot of these, it’s better to prepare them as early as now,” Mr. Manese said.
