An Embarkation Ceremony of ninety eight (98) IMMAJ-PJMCC sponsored midshipmen from class of 2012 from the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP) was held last 12 April 2010 at 0900h at Pier 13, Manila South Harbor.

Thirty nine (39) IMMAJ-PJMCC sponsored cadets from the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP) were sent to Japan last 31 March 2010 to join the Seiun Maru Training Program. The batch consists of twenty (20) deck and nineteen (19) engine cadets from Class 2012. Likewise, the said cadets compose the fourth batch of MAAP students sent onboard the training ship Seiun Maru to undergo two (2) months supervised shipboard training.
PJMCC implements fourth Maritime School Assessment Program (MSAP)

The Philippine-Japan Manning Consultative Council (PJMCC) jointly with the other member associations of the Joint Manning Group will conduct the Maritime School Assessment Program (MSAP) today. This year, a total of 81 schools from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, with about a total of 17,000 deck and engine students, confirmed participation to the exercise.
The Philippines Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP) has opened a new campus dedicated to training seafarers who will work on board Japanese ships.
